Plesk Repair Utility: Installation
The Plesk repair utility with the installation
aspect checks the consistency of the Plesk installation including
permissions and ownership of files in RPM or DEB packages. If the Plesk
repair utility detects incorrect permissions and ownerships of files in
RPM or DEB packages, it informs you about these files and gives you the
option to fix permissions and ownership.
Use the plesk repair installation
command if you are experiencing
issues with Plesk itself, and not with one of the Plesk services. There
are no options specific to the installation
aspect.
Known Limitations
On dpkg-based systems (Debian, Ubuntu), the Plesk repair utility does
not check files in those DEB packages whose DEB archives are not found.
For example, if DEB archives are not found in
/var/cache/apt/archives
and are not accessible from the enabled APT
repositories, the Plesk repair utility does not detect and fix
permissions and ownership of files in the corresponding DEB packages.
